Select Bluetooth.
Press the Information icon next to the AirPods.
The screen will show you which version your AirPods are currently running.
Update your headphones
The firmware updates for AirPod are periodically downloaded when your AirPods are charging and the iPhone is on Bluetooth range. For you to make sure that the AirPods automatically update, do the following:
- Put the AirPods in the charging case and close it.
- Connect the charging case to the electrical network.
- Make sure the iPhone is on Bluetooth range.
- The iPhone must be connected to a WiFi network.
If all these conditions are met, your AirPods Pro 2 or AirPods 3 will be updated automatically. In the case you haven’t updated your headphones yet, you just need to put them into the case and let them charge with the iPhone on range.
