Outschool, a leading teaching platform for kids, has taken a bold leap towards transforming individual education with its latest launch: AI Teacher Assistant.
This innovative tool promises to improve and streamline the way educators create progress reports for their students.
AI Teacher Assistant
The AI Teacher Assistant has been developed in strategic collaboration with OpenAI, an organization that has been at the center of debates in the education sector since the launch of ChatGPT last year. While it has raised concerns about possible cheating and plagiarism, it has also generated excitement among those who see its potential to streamline administrative tasks in teaching.
This tool has been meticulously designed to help educators optimize their time by generating progress reports and improving communication with students’ parents or caregivers.
After each learning session, tutors enter vignettes into the AI teaching assistant that describe the student’s performance in class. From this data, the AI creates informative paragraphs that give parents a complete view of their child’s educational experience, including their child’s performance. Additionally, tutors can choose between a detailed message or a more concise version depending on their preferences and needs.
At the moment, this feature is currently only available for tutors offering private lessons. However, the company has expressed its willingness to adapt the tool to the group class format if demand requires it.
In addition to this novelty, Outschool has introduced a one-on-one tutoring service, a strategy that reflects the growing popularity of online education, especially after the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to Grand View Research, the online education market is projected to reach $23.73 billion by 2030.
