There’s a rumor about Apple eliminating the Apple Plus model, again. It’s not the first time. The iPhone 6 Plus appeared for the first time and it lasted until iPhone 8 Plus. The new rumors indicate that iPhone 17 slim will be a substitute of the iPhone 17 Plus. In simple terms, it’s a bigger version of the standard iPhone 17.
The standard model with 6,3 screen will continue in the iPhone 17 Pro. And there’s a 120 Hz refresh rate for all the devices. Until now, it was an exclusive feature of the Pro iPhone. The processor unit will also continue the iPhone 16 line. The microchip will be the same but with little improvements for the Pro and Pro Max versions.
According to the leak, the RAM memory will be of 8 GB to make it compatible with Apple Intelligence. We will see this new feature during 2024 in the iPhone 16 family according to the leak.
The iPhone 17 Slim and the mystery about the price
The Weibo leak has a huge contradiction. In terms of price it’s very hard to predict, but the iPhone 17 Slim seems to be the most expensive device of the list. But it’s not the best device in any aspect. The screen will be the same as the other models, and it’s smaller than the Pro Max, and the rest of the materials are equal to the standard iPhone 17.
If the rumors are true, the camera may be the reason behind them. In the leak there’s no information about double or triple camera, and there’s not even information about the sensor. It may be a better component than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, but it seems strange. If it turns out true, the new iPhone 17 catalog will be somehow strange for the apple family.
