The Chinese brand is not famous because of great updating packages to the latest Android versions. It’s important to choose one having that in mind because Android 15 is coming sooner than later.

OPPO mobile phones update schedule and Android 15 availability
The OPPO brand has always included 2 years of Android updates and 3 years of security patches for their phones. To know if your phone will receive Android 15 you can revise the list in this article or check in which year your model launched and the number of updates.
High end OPPO devices have 4 years of updates guarantee, and the rest of the models only 3 years. From 2023 onwards the update policy improved but they are not like Google or Samsung. Those two brands include 7 years of update for their high end devices. OPPO is not considering it necessary right now.
In the mobile phone industry, there are brands that offer certain minimum years for updates and sometimes they surprise the user with a new update. It’s also common for security patches to keep appearing even after 1 or 2 years of the last operating system update. It all depends on your mobile brand and model. All the newest OPPO phones will receive Android 15 as well as 4 to 5 years of updates. They will be protected against new measures thanks to security patches at least for the next few years. These are OPPO high end and most expensive devices.

If your OPPO phone is not in this list, it will probably not receive the Android 15 update. The last list is made from all the devices from the Chinese developer that won’t update to Android 15. And they probably haven’t received Android 14 either. In order to make this list official you need to wait for OPPO’s update calendar but we can make a guess about the main updates. You can manually check it out by going to Settings and selecting Software update. If you have a new package it will download immediately.
OPPO phones that won’t receive Android 15 update

It’s probable that they will still receive Android 14, but the newest update won’t be available. However it’s not a major problem now because Android 14 still has some security updates in line.
