Thanks to DLSS 4 NVIDIA graphic card users can activate the DLSS feature in almost all RTX models. The new optimized version of DLSS enables the escalating technology set up to play high-end games even above the 120 FPS.
NVIDIA DLSS Override and version changes
New NVIDIA update includes the DLSS Override feature to choose the DLSS version for each videogame. You can activate it on any title compatible with Deep Learning Super Sampling even if the game developer hasn’t implemented it yet.
To use DLSS Override you only need to download the latest version of NVIDIA app and update drivers to 572.16. Then you can activate DLSS 4 following these steps:
- Open NVIDIA app and go to Graphics tab.
- There you will see a list of your installed videogames.
- Left click the title you want and select Driver settings.
- The new menu has three options related to DLSS Override. Preset value, Multiple photogram generation and Super Resolution.
- To enable the most recent mode just pick each of these options and select More recent in the sliding menu.
DLSS Swapper alternative
Before NVIDIA included the option to change DLSS version, there was a third party alternative called DLSS Swapper. It’s a free software with a really simple user interface that lets you choose the DLSS version for each videogame. It’s a good alternative for those who want to check performance of a title with the latest update on the graphic card drivers.
You only need to download it from GitHub, install and run it. It automatically searches for DLSS compatible videogames and you only have to click on the title and select the DLSS version you want to apply.
